"cross country made me appreciate running more than words could ever describe"
My cross country story starts out as my best friend talking to me about it. The team had got a new coach and he was recruiting people who he thought would be good. I wasn't sure because I sprinted in track and I was a soccer player. Cross country and soccer kind of interfered with each other, but I decided to try it out and I fell in love with it. This was my junior year that I started by the way. I broke 20 by the end of the season and I knew that senior year I would come back and run again. So I quit soccer and focused on cross country, only to be stopped from running because I got mono. Anyways, cross country made me appreciate running more than words could ever describe. It made me become closer to my friends and really helped me become who I am now as I graduate in a few weeks. I couldn't be any happier with my choice to run cross country.
