The Best Running Movies of 2017
Check out the 2016 version here
TrackTown
Probably my favorite running movie of the year. Maybe even my favorite running movie ever? The movie doesn't attempt to portray runners in a way they're not, when a runner watches it, or at least when I watched it, I felt like I was watching a mirrored version of my life. The film was directed, produced, written and starred Olympian and former Oregon duck, Alexi Pappas. Definitely worth the watch.
How to watch: Youtube, Amazon Video, Vudu, Google Play. It'll cost $3.99 on any of these services.
Where Dreams Go To Die
I honestly haven't seen this film, and unless you saw it while it was touring in the fall, you're not going to be able to see it until it's released... And there doesn't seem to be any set date on that.
BUT, nonetheless, it still gets to make the list because the preview gets me hyped. And I can't wait to watch it. The film was made by Ethan Newberry, aka the Ginger Runner. It's about Garry Robbins attempts at the Barkley Marathon.
How to watch: either have patience, or create a time machine and go to it while it was touring.
*this is also the only movie on the list that you can't watch right now.
Remember The Goal
I don't have anything good or bad to say about this movie, it's cheesy. It's a running movie. It came out on DVD in 2017.
How to watch: It's free to watch on Vudu. It's also on Youtube and Google Play but will cost $3.99
