The best thing I've ever done.

Joining xc was a great choice for me. I was told that it was meant to be conditioning for track and I found out that’s not the case. As soon as I joined freshman year I was slow and out of shape yea, but I felt at home. I felt as if everyone was my brother or sister because of that u breakable bond. I hate running, but I love it too much to quit. It’s like a drug to me. I never thought it would have the impact on me it did. Everyone is so much fun and everyone is accepting of who you are. You don’t have to be tough, or fast, or a thug, or a nerd. When you’re in XC everyone is just a human. Everyone is a person with a unique personality that they bring to the team. Everyone will get along with you, I am yet to meet one person who isn’t accepted in cross country. Everyone may run at different paces and different races but it’s like everyone comes together to form one runner. The perfect runner. Someone who is super fun and uplifts everyone when they’re around and also someone who runs so fast people think they’re the flash. Or at least that’s how I tried to explain it. I am currently a sophomore at the beginning of track season longing for xc to start again. If you are a freshman, or are thinking about joining cross country at all, then join. You will not regret it at all. You can thank me later
